Saving To Live On My Own

I plan to save money to get an apartment and move out of my parents house by the end of the year. I also would like to have money saved for emergency expenses. I plan to start saving $100 out of every paycheck I get, and save any additional money I might recieve (like tax return). I hope to save around $3500 but I will need to collect more information before I am able to make a realistic goal.

Try and figure out what I'm buying that I need compared to what I want. Lower the amount spent on want so that I have more money to save. Try finding ways to limit costs ex) start bringing my own lunch instead of going out to eat for lunch.

    File Taxes
Figure out how much I'm getting back, and determine any costs I may need to pay to fix my car. Save as much of the return as possible and determine what realistic goal I want to aim for, for how much money saved by the end of the year.
