An angry mob of nearly 7,000 women march into Versailles. Chanting, "Bread!" This mob forced Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette to leave Versailles because it was too dangerous. -

A war between France and Austria broke out, because Austria's new government is powerful and could do something to France. Which is good, because revolutionaries wanted to lose King Louis XVI. -

The convention had been against the king for some time. But they finally got him on trial for treason. And he was guilty. Then they Guillotined him for it. -

The revolution was going terribly. There were deaths left and right no escape from it. Including the execution of the King and queen. Robespierre took charge and he's the one to mainly blame for it. But a year later he had been guillotined and the end was finally occurring. He was trialed like King Louis XVI and was guilty. This was the the end of the Jacobins. -

A revolt resulting in the fall of Robespierre. And the end of the Reign of Terror. After Robespierre created threats. They arrested him for it and found him guilty. -

The first French Republic that was constituted . It was a five member committee, which governed France. It was a huge success! Except, there were still major problems to be fixed. -
Napoleon Takes Power
After Napoleon fought for France and quickly rose through the ranks during the French Revolution. He crowned himself emperor and took power in 1804. Which was quite successful for France. -
Napoleon Invades Russia
This was a bad idea for Napoleon, he invaded Russia for their land. And this was a bad thing. It was winter and in Russia winters were very cold. He went with 680,000 men and only came back with 120,000 men. -
Napoleons defeat at Waterloo
Napoleon's army fought at Waterloo between the British and Prussian armies. After his loss he was sent to St. Helena, he was secluded for the 2nd time. He soon died of a stomach Ulcer.
