Economic Troubles
The amounts of taxation went badly in France. All the merchants, factory owners, and bankers of the third estate were alarm by the taxes, making business almost impossible to conduct and manage during those times. -
A Weak Leader
Around the 1789, king Louis was surrounded with an emergency which he had no money left. His only way for salvation was to tax the nobility estaste, however the three estates join to together to held one big meeting for its implementation on this new tax in Versailles -
Storming the Bastille
In 14 of July of 1789 the people of France gathered in order to defend their city against attack by grabbing some weapons. Some gunpowder and guns where held in the Bastille prison, Paris. The people where furious letting some guards and prison commander to death. Later on it became a great symbolic act in the French Revolution. -
Assembly Reforms France
Noblemen made some great speeches about liberty and equality. Joining together some members of the National Assembly and sweaping all the privilage people on the first and second estate. By the morning the Old Regime was dead -
Great Fear Sweaps France
Parisian women raised themselves to rebel against the price of the bread. Having some axes, stick, guns and weapons they marched in Versailles. Going against the queen and king they broke into some palaces and killed several guards. Some moments later the king and his family left the Versailles´s palace. -
Louis Tries to Escape
The royal family felt unsafe living in France, so they tried to escape to the Austrian Netherlands, however they were apprehended and returned to Paris under guard. Louis attempted of escape make furious to its enemies. -
Limited Monarchy
The National Assembly had completed a new constitution that Louis relucantly approved, the constitution was with a limited constitutional monarchy, taking a lot of the king´s power. A legislative body of power was implemented into the government. -
Death of the King
The Convention found guilty and by votes there was a sentence to the king Louis. With dignity the king walked to the guillotine and his head was chopped of his body, while the French citizens watched the death sentence. -
End of the Terror
A legislative and executive bodies were added into the French Revolution. Of course some of them were corrupt which they made themselves rich between the country´s expenses. They found the perfect general to command France, Napoleon Bonaparte
