  • The Rise of Napoleon and Creation of an Empire

    Napoleon, a French leader in the military was a very big part of the French Revolution. He conquered almost all of Europe which made him more powerful in the military through his life.
  • Meeting of the Estates General

    Addressed financial problems in France with all 3 of the estates for the first time in almost 175 years.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    After a month and a half of fighting, the people of the lowest estate get locked out of the estates general, they decide to go to a near tennis court and name themselves the true people of France.
  • Storming the Bastille

    People took over the prison in Paris, This was a great symbol of defeat in their name.
  • Declaration of Rights

    The 3rd and lowest estate now thinking of themselves having rule, let out a document saying that supreme power belongs to the people of the town.
  • March on Versailles

    A 12 mile march that many women took after the price of bread was increased due to bad harvest. They were so upset they broke into the castle and murdered guards landing them as prisoners.
  • Reign of Terror (beginning date)

    People were executed for being thought to be against the revolution. Most of the people killed were in the 3rd estate being a little less fortunate.
  • Napoleon’s Empire Collapses

    There were many reasons for the Empire collapsing Continental System and the invasion of Russia. Each one of these things are big big mistakes that made him not as good as a leader.
  • The Congress of Vienna

    This was a conference lead by the people who defeated napoleon. The number one goal of this was to get a new better balance of power in Europe.
