  • THE TENNIS COURT OATH

The French parliament was known as the Estates General.
The clergy (First Estate), the nobility (Second Estate), and the rest of the populace made up the three estates (Third Estate).
During that time, each estate had only one vote. I think this will become one of the major event is because this event had given France a constitution, and it also became a big event known as a Tennis Court Oath. https://learnodo-newtonic.com/french-revolution-events-dates
  • STORMING OF THE BASTILLE

On July 14, 1789, they took control of the Bastille in order to steal guns and gunpowder. The troops of the Bastille resisted for a number of hours before giving up to the mob. Some people view the collapse of the Bastille as the beginning of the French Revolution. I think this will became the one of the major event is because this event caused a national day and France celebrated it. https://learnodo-newtonic.com/french-revolution-events-dates
  • ABOLITION OF FEUDALISM

The entire feudal system was abolished by the Constituent Assembly from August 4 to August 11, 1789. It eliminated the tenth of the first estate's collection as well as the second estate's manorism. Peasants were reliant upon their lands and lords. The peasants ceased giving the church tithes after receiving their land.

The Assembly published the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. The basic principle of the Declaration was that all “men are born and remain free and equal in rights”. At that time, King Louis XVI became a little more than a figurehead. I think this event can became the one of the major event is because it concept to the state represents the general will of the citizens. https://learnodo-newtonic.com/french-revolution-events-dates

On 5th October 1789, a large crowd of protesters, mostly women, began to assemble at Parisian markets. The women marched from Paris to the Palace of Versailles. They were convinced that the royal family lived in luxury oblivious to the problems of the common people. King Louis XVI became wary of the direction in which the French Revolution was heading and he feared the safety of his family. He ultimately decided to leave France and seek refuge in Austria. He was then provisionally suspended by the Assembly and held under guard. • EXECUTION OF KING LOUIS XVI

In 1792, France was under pressure due to the attack by Austrian army and its Prussian allies. The people viewed King Louis XVI as a traitor as he had attempted to secretly flee the country. Queen Marie Antoinette was also found guilty of numerous crimes on October 16 and guillotined the same day. I think this will became the major event is because this event is about the death of Louis XVI. https://learnodo-newtonic.com/french-revolution-events-dates
