  • Estates General Meeting

    Estates General Meeting
    Three major groups called the Clergy, Nobility, and Everyone else assembled a general assembly consisting of representatives from all but the poorest segment of the french citizenry. This action took place in the Versailles Palace. These groups all took role in this event for because they were poor and wanted to change that.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    Taking place in the tennis court of Versailles Palace, the tennis court oath was created. The 3rd estate was in there because the king, King Louis XVI, locked them up in there during the Estate General Meeting. During this cause, the 3rd estate made a pack that they will never stop fighting the statment in which of that the Clergy and Nobility are 'milking' them, and are getting away with it without paying taxes. They plegeded that they will never stop until they make a consititution for France.

    The Storming of the Bastille started the French Revolution in 1789, in Paris. In this event, the rioters wanted weapons and ammunition in the Bastille. They weren't able to recieve them, so they decided to just take them by force.

    Women's March on Versailles
    Women's March on Versailles was based uponn the Church. Parisian women were angry with how the Church was unable to provide grants of food nor money because they were poor. This increased unemployement and major pressure on house hold managers. By October 5, some seven thousand desperate women march on Versailles demanding to have what they desire.

    Champ de Mars was the first Federation Day. It's also known as a large park found in Paris, France. It was established as parkland by the Church, serving two abbeys which were then located on the outskirts of Paris.

    The french royal family was under serious risk of physical violence; so they tempted to escape France to go to Paris. They dressed as servants, but got spoted and were send back and were put under house arrest.

    Louis XVI was the king of France in 1754. He had three major reasons thats lead up to his execution. First off, he ran up many debts, he dissolved the National Assembly and he tried to escape France. He was in royality while the people of France were in surving. Therefore, he was executed for all his cruelity.

    The Reign of Terror began in 1793, and ended in 1794 on July 28th. The Reign of Terror began after the execution of King Louis XVI. Lead by the Jacobins, the leader, Maximilien Robespireer sent nearly 40,000 people to their death by the Guillotine. The Reign of Terror ended when the people of France executed Robespireer himself.

    Napoleon Bonaparte ended the French Revolution in 1799. He staged a military coup to make himself a dictator, inorder to than claim himself as Emperor to establish his dynasty as hereditary rulers of France.
