People did not like the way that the king was running the country, so they called for a meeting of leaders that would pass laws with the king. The third estate had no say, so they rebelled. If they did not rebel, then the government would not have changed in any way. -
Tennis Court Oath
Representatives of all three estates would not work with the king until he signed a constitution. The constitution helped to create a new France. -
Storming of the Bastille
the king brought soldiers into the city where the representatives were meeting. In response, the civilians captured the Bastille, a prison-fortress, looking for weapons. With these weapons, they were able to start the revolution.
