    Louis XVI was crowned King of France in 1774. It was after his grandfather's death, Louis XV. He also married Marie-Antoinette from Austria.

    The American Revolution began in 1775. France sent some of their troops to help America in war. Which later on became one of the reasons why France went bankrupt. The American Revolution was also one of the causes of the French Revolution.

    The calling of the Estates General happened in 1789. The king ordered the meeting because he wanted permission to make tax reforms to the clergy and nobility. Only for the 3rd estate to leave upset because of unfair representation.

    The formation of the Nation Assembly happened on June 13, 1789. The 3rd Estate rebelled against the King and they created their own government body. The representatives of the assembly wanted to fix the financial problems that was happening in France.

    The Women of France force Louis XVI to leave Versailles on October 5, 1789. This event is also known as the Women’s March on Versailles. They made a violent confrontation at the Palace of Versailles and triumphantly got the King to leave.

    The Battle of Waterloo happened on June 18, 1815. This event was Napoleon’s last stand. He was defeated and was exiled to St. Helena.
