    This time span is a 10 year span which is known as the french revolution. During this span France went through many rough times such as the reign of terror which includes countless beheadings and numerous governments with prosperity and failure.

    National Assembaly

    The National Assembaly lasted 3 years and was a minor success for the french revolution.The National assembaly was formed by the third estate (commoners) and would take place as the goverment for a little bit. Some of the minor successes were the commoners wrote a constitution called the rights of man written in a tennis court by the upper class of the lower class. Another sucess was they got a goverment up and running and at the time they thought they got rid of feudalism.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    The storming of the Bastille was a event where some of the commoners rallied up and raided the biggest prision in the country. They freeded the prisoners because most of them were there because they couldn't pay their taxes. They also stole all of the suppliesat the prision. The commoners who raided the prision acted out of emotion not out of thinking.

    National Convention

    The National Convention was the second form of government in the french revolution. In this government they completley abolished monarchy and created a government that consisted of 749 deputies that voted on things. During this time period they will create the Public Safety Committe that conducts the reign of terror.
  • Reign of Terror

    Reign of Terror
    The reign of terror was a spree of beheadings by the Public Safety Committe lead by Robbespierre. These behadings spread over a year and killed 30,000 people. They killed these people because the leader saw them as internal enemies. The killings started of with Louis the 17th the ex-leader and ended with the leader Robespierre because people were fed up with him.

    This is when the second constituion establishes and the Directory becomes the new government.

    The Directory

    The Directory was the last government of the French Revoultion before the upbringing of Napolean. This government consisted of three consuls that voted on things. This government had little to no success. The consuls were voted in by a council of 500 men.
  • Coup

    Coup
    Napolean conducts a coup against the Directory and comes into power. He now establishes consulate government.
