    Napoleon became the commander of the French army in Italy during the spring moths of 1796. This would not however be his last promotion, he would go on to beoome a general.

    The meeting of the Estates Genral met here where the 1st and 2nd estates would vote out the 3rd. As a side note, this is also when the 3rd estate would form the National Assembly.

    The National assembly eleminated all feudal dues and services. The Declaration put down basic rules of the Revolution which is "liberty, equality and fraternity"

    A large group of 7,000 woemn marched to Versailles in demand of food to feed their famillies. The queen made the famous statement "let them eat cake" when she gave them a very poor form of bread.

    The mob storms the palace and throws the royal family in jail. The Legislative assembly feels powerless and votes itself out of existence

    It lasted for a solid 10 months. Included a series of executions, trials, and accusations.

    Napoleon became a general during the winter months of 1793. After being in the French army for many years, Napoleon had gained the trust and respect of the people of the army in which was in his favor.

    The reign of terror consisted of thousands of executions and very many imprisonments. Also included in this were slaves and people who lived on land, turning on their land owners.

    The Directory was very corrupt and did not last longer than years when it was brought down which was also when Napoleon became ruler.

    Napoleon invaded Egypt in 1798 which was shortly after he became emperor of France. The attack ended up being a failure as the French surrendered to the British

    Napoleon and about 600,000 men marched to Russia in an attempt to take over the land for Napoleon's empire but what they did not expect was Russia's use of "scorched Earth" which is a burning of the buildings and crops and any other supplies before the invading forces arrives.

    Napoleon began to get very sick and continued to get six as his life continued. It is reported that Napoleon had coughed up blood and layed in bed for many days at a time.

    Napoleon dies of what was thought to be due to a disease he contracted from a mosquito but it was showed that he actually had stomahc cancer which was unknown of at the time.
