    The people in france were divided into 3 different estates. The first estate was the Roman Catholic, The second estate was were the nobility, and the third estate were the rest of the people such as the peasants and ect.

    Louis made a meeting for the three estates because he needed to raise taxes but the third estate wanted each delegate to have a vote. They broke away and renamed themselves the national assembly. They claimed to represent all of the people. The king disagreed and locked them out of the meeting.

    The storming to the Bastille started the begging of the physical revolution. The prisoners of the Bastille were freed by the Parisian mob and it became a symbol of triumph over disposition. It was also significant because Louis had no control.

    Madame Jeane Ronald was the leader in the woman rights movement but Olympe de Gouges wrote the the Declaration of the rights of women which meant women are equal citizens.

    There was no more bread and the women were outraged and 20,000 marched to Versailles with weapons to force the king to move to Paris. They wanted the king to pay more attention to them. The king tries to escape but get caught. After he gets caught they think he is a traitor and they take all his power.

    There was a new program that was adopted of a new Republic calendar to a 10 day week which meant no more Sundays. This destroyed religious and royal states.
