    The National Assembly was made up of representatives from each estate, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The 3rd estate was told they could have "double representation" but the voting did not matter by head it was by estate. The 3rd estate was mad so they began meeting on their own, but then they slowly began meeting with the 1st and 2nd estate again. (Wikipedia)

    The Tennis Court Oath was something the National Assembly signed saying they would keep meeting at the tennis court until they had a new constitution. They met at the tennis court because they were locked out of their meeting place by King Louis. (Notes)

    Attack on the Bastille
    The attack on the Bastille was when a mob of citizens stole weapons, they stole around 28,000 riffles, but they had no gun powder. The mob knew that they'd be able to find gun powder at the Bastille. The Bastille only had a few guards guarding it at the time they held up against the mob for a while. The guards had a rescue team come but then they decided to not fight against the mob. (bastille-day.com)

    Bread March
    A large group of mostly women came together in the central marketplace in Paris, and marched to Versailles (where the king and his family lived). They marched in an effort to get bread and to make the king lower the prices of bread. Around 6,000 women marched, as they were marching many women joined, they were armed with anything they could find. When they got there the king was suprised and gave them what they wanted.     Napoleon became dictator of France on May 18th, 1804, after the French Revolution. Before he was the dictator/emperor of France he was in the French Military. He was one of the best dictators in history. Napoleons reign ended in 1815.
