    He was born in Chatea day Saint-Germain-en-Laye. His parents are Loius XIIII and Anne of Austria. He was the last Bourbon. He married Austrian archduchess. He brought the French revolution crahing down. He was killed in 1793 and his wife was killed 9 months later. Louis resisted the national assembly's idea of a new constitution and the army resisted te kings actions. In 1789 he had to acknowledge the national assmebly's authority.

    Young provincial lawyer who led the most radical phases of the French Revolution. His execution ended the Reign of Terror.

    Violent agitator in the early days of Revolution, was very unpopular with the public. A compromiser, he came to oppose what he considered the Revolutions excesses
  • Estates- General of 1789

    This was the first meeting of the French Estates-General since 1614. It was summoned by King Louis XVI. It was to try to solve his governments financial problems.
  • Fall of the Bastille

    Bastille was a prison. During the revolution, a mob stormed it and released the few prisoners that were in there. The prison was known as a sign of tyranny.

    This was what the people of the third class changed into during the revolution when Louis XVI didn't agree with the estates.

  • Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen

    A document drafted in August 1789 by the National Constituent Assembly. This declaration uphled that all men were "born and remain free and equal in rights" of "liberty, property, security and resistance to oppression." It called for equality of law, education, employment, innocent until proven guilty, and freedom of religion.

    This is a type of government system in France It is seperated into 3 classes. The first class is clergy members. The second is nobility. The third is peasants and middle classmen.

    It was also called the Fourth Revolution. It briefly ruled Paris between March and and May 28. It acted as the city council.
