The former King and his family got fed up with being "prisoners" of the capital city and made a valiant attempt at escape they disgused themselves they were close to the border of Austria when King Louis XVI was recognized he and his family were captured and sent back to Paris . -

The Legislative assembly voted to declare war on Austria they had hoped that the former country Prussia and Germany out of the war but they failed as those two and other powerhouse European Monarchies came to assist Austria. -
