French Revaloution

  • The Reign of Terror court sentanced 20,000 to 40,000 people to death.

    This ended in 1784. The Reign of Terror was a horrible time for all of the French people. Was important because it changed almost everybody's minds about being free.
  • Robespierre was beheaded.

    The amount of people he killed that were revaloutionary against him he killed. He was out of control and people eventually were tired of him.
  • Louis XVI called Estates-General to a meeting in Versailles to approve a tax plan.

    First meeting of the three estates in over 100 years. Eventually led to the National Assembly.
  • The Third Estate declared themselves the National Assembly and made the Tennis Court Oath.

    When King Louis the 16th locked them out of the meeting room, they found the indoor tennis court and became the National Assembly.
  • The National Assembly issued the Declaration of the Rights of Man

    Is a fundemental Document stating that the rights of men are equal.
  • Paris women invaded Versailles.

    The pesant women had enough the high prices of bread. The groups grew bigger and bigger.
  • The people of Paris stormed Bastille.

    The people wanted guns because the king was sending troops to Paris. But they didn't have gun powder. This was the first step of the revolution.
  • Louis XVI and his family tried to flee France.

    They tried to flee France by dressing up as peasants but were recognized by person that remebered the kings face a coin and arrested. Louis were imprisoned and eventually executed.
  • French declared war against Austria

    The french declared war agaisnts Austria this battle from 1792 until 1802.
  • Louis XVI sentanced to the guillotine.

    This is when the king was sentence to the guillotine to be beheaded and this was the last of the monarchy. Until Napolen came in, in 1804.
  • Marie Antoinette Exacution

    After being a selfish queen, the people had enough with her and eventually killed her after King Louis XVI got excacuted.
  • Arrest of Robespierre.

    Robespierre was out of control with the amount of people he was killing so eventually the people had enough with him.
