after the bread riots start the city turns against each other and the king in a state of confusion will call the meetign of the generals. they talk about the state of the city and how it can be fixed or what they can do about it. with the time left before it becomes a full fledge riot of the people they need a sulution to the problem.

As the "peasants" revolted against the upper classes takin hold of the bastille quickly taking over and showing their power they stuck a head on a pike(a weapon they used). later on they end up tearing the bastille apart and sell the chunks as symbols of the cities freedom against the heavy oppression of the ruler.

the new legaslative branch assembley took office but failed miserably in 1 year. the "radicals" consist of the sanculots (the working class) and the jacobin (the poor). They pushed for more radical action in the revolution.

a crowd of perrisians stormed the royal palace killing off the kings guards wanting the the queen dead. the king and queen escaped but were caught and made prisones. one month later 1200 nobles and priests were killed. later the king was killed finishing of the monarchy.

rospier became the leaver of the public safety comitty. It ended in july the next year. he was nicknamed the incorruptable. 17,000 were executed during the reign of terror (the guillotine) and 300,000 arrested. the reign of terror ended on july 27 1794 when rospier was executed by his own killing machine.

moderates came up with another constitution made up of a 5 man directory and a 2 house legalature which held power from 1795 to 1799. corrupt leaders failed to solve any of the major problems and lined their own pockets. politicians turned to napoleon bonaparte.
