    Adolf Hitler invaded Poland on September 1, 1939 and two days later, Britain and France declared war on Germany. This started WW2. On May 8, 1945, the Allies accepted Germany's surrender, about a week after Hitler committed suicide. This ended WW2.

  • Internet was invented

    The first workable prototype of the Internet came in the late 1960s, but the ARPANET, or the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network, delivered its first message on October 29, 1969.

    My mom, Arlene (Cabigon)Purugganan, was born in a small town in the Philippines.

    After about a year of dating, my parents got married.

    As my mom went through her pregnancy, the doctor said that my mom had a miscarriage. So when my mom still seemed to have pregnancy signs, my dad went to a different doctor. That doctor said my mom wasn't pregnant too, but my dad said, "Please, check again." If my dad hadn't pushed the doctor to check again, I wouldn't be here.

    In April 2016, I went to the Philippines. Although I went there once when I was a baby, this time I was able to remember the lovely place. There, I was a flower girl for my Aunt and Uncle's wedding.

    When I entered this school, I was quite afraid of the new environment, to be honest. I even almost missed my bus on my second day-- but I'm very glad to be here.

    Corona virus was declared a pandemic

    WHO declared the outbreak of the corona virus to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Due to the corona virus, most countries have gone on lock down and streets are almost empty.

    After by thirteenth birthday, I started the journey of a teenager.
