Great Grandpa Jack Died.
My dads grandpa, fought in World War 2, POW, MIA, and recieved a purple heart because he was shot through the leg. He never regained full use of that leg. -
Little bro born!
I don't remeber much, but I remember shopping with my grandma and buying him a baby doll. Really, It was my baby doll, but it's the thought that counts. -
Mom took my Blankie away
The thing was shredded, I'm pretty sure we still have it in a box somewhere, But I sucked on the blanket and then sucked my fingers till I was like 7. But my mom thought that the blanket would strangle me in my sleep after four years of use.. -
Great Grandma Crockford Died
All I remember was I was on my way to school when I found out, I was super upset, but we weren't that close. At her funeral I walked up and looked at the casket and remeber talking to my Dad's cousin's daughters. I didn't really understand that she was gone, just thought she was asleep. I'm pretty sure my cousin explained to me that she went to Heaven. -
Terrorist Invasion in U.S
I was only 5 when this happened so I don't remember much, I think I was at home and I just remember seeing the planes going into the twin towers over and over and over again on the t.v. I also remember my mom being really sad, but didn't really understand why. -
First year going up north for girls weekend
My mom parents take all of the grandkids for a weekend up at their cabin. The age when you start is 5 -
Got our first dog!
His name was Barley. He was a German Shepherd and the best dog ever. He only lived for a few months after we got him from the shelter because he had really bad seizures and we had to put him down. -
Schyler threw a snowball at my head.
We were playing in the snow and Schyler threw a snowball at my head and I got really mad and told my little brother to tackle her, well he did and he also punched her in the stomach. She got the wind knocked out of her and to say the least, she wasn't happy. She turned around and said "I want to call you something that I'm not allowed to say out loud" and I told my mom and she got in trouble. -
Started Gymnastics
I did Gymnastics for two or three years I think, but I broke my pinkie and freaked out so I quit. -
The Iraq War
This war had a larger impact than the others on our family. My Uncle Matt (Moms Step-Brother In-Law) Went to Iraq for 3 or 4 years. He came back for little bits at a time, but not long enough for my Aunt and Cousins. When he came back I remember going to the airport and seeing my aunt fall to the ground and just cry. He was a prison gaurd in Iraq. And a police officer before that. -
Business/family trip
My dad had to go on a business trip down south so my family tagged along. While we were down there we visited some of my dads old family friends who he hadn't seen in years. When we got there all the kids ran up, there were 10 in total I think. Anyway, when we got there, one of their cows had just, like 10 minutes before had a baby. That was the first new born farm animal I have ever seen. -
First Foster Care Placement.
My family started foster care, and our first placement was two little boys, the older was 2 and the younger was 6 months. We had them for about a year and a half and were heartbroken when they had to leave. Still get teary eyed thinking about them.. -
Went camping
It was my first time camping at a camp site with my family. Not super exciting. But I did wipe out on my bike going down a hill that seemed as steep as a mountain. Still have some scars on my knees from that. -
Obama became president.
My family and myslef are a pretty conservative family. I remember not being very happy when he was sworn into office, but My dad told me that it was all in God's hands and nothing would happen that He hadn't already planned. -
Adopted Stella Joy!
We had her for 10 months when went to court to make it official. She's such a blessing in my life and it would be VERY boring with out her entertaing everyone every minute she's awake. -
Got my braces...
I've had braces before, but I got a full set. The night I got them, my dad made steak wrapped in bacon (my favorite) and I couldn't eat it. So I had mashed potatoes and Ice cream -
Moved to Byron Center
Moved into our house the day after school started. Me and my sister had to stay with my aunt that night. -
Early Spring break in Florida
My parents decided they would do a "Senior Trip" for every kid. So my sister picked florida. We stayed in a beach house in the middle of no where and it was great. -
Got my Carrr!!!!
I got my Buick La Sabre. It is the same care my Great Grandpa has, but I love it.
