Brother's birthday
The first important event in my life was the day my baby brother was born. This day is important to me because I felt a certain responsibility to take care and protect him for years to come. It has changed my life because I always put him first and try to do what is best for him. -
Military father stationed in Korea
Being in a military family we have to deal with constant moves and my father being stationed in a foreign country from time to time. One of these times was when my father was stationed in Korea for a year. It wasn't too long compared to others, but it was a long time to us. It was hard to live without him for a extended period of time. -
Got my first camera
When I got my first camera it changed my life because I found out what I loved. It would shape my future and help me decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It brought pleasure when I had nothing going on and kept me out of trouble. -
Grandfather passed away
My grandfather passing changed my life because he was a big part of my families life. My cousin also lived with him and after he died my cousin began living with my family until he was 18. This resulted in many changed around the house that we soon adjusted to. -
Moving in with my little brother
When my cousin moved in I had to give up my bedroom to him which I was more than happy to do. I began sharing with my little brother. I hated it and was unable to get along with him at first, but began to learn to be patient and was able to find a way to get along. I think this is important because in life you are forced to work with people you do not particularly like and have to learn to deal with it. -
First dog
When I got my first dog I got the same sense of responsibility as I did when my brother was born. The only difference was it was my responsibility to care for her. I fed her, gave her baths, haircuts, etc and I think it is important to be in charge and control over something at a young age because it teaches how to be a more responsible person. -
Learning to play the guitar
Learning to play the guitar effected my life because it brought happiness and accomplishment. It is good to learn a instrument when you are younger because you learn patience and persistence. If it was not for learning and gaining patience from the guitar I may have not of had the patience to do many things I now see as achievements. -
First Job
When I got my first job I got a taste of the working world and got to learn how to be professional. I learned many things, learned to respect my boss and coworkers, I learned things on my job that will improve my organization and work ethic. I believe I learned fast, and I think my other experiences of responsibility I have had improved my speed. -
Joining Primavera
Joining Primavera changed my life because I was not doing very well in school because I do not learn very well in a classroom. When I joined Primavera I began to get better grades and learn much more information. I think it will benefit my future because it will make me a more intellectual person and help me get into a good college. -
Get drivers License
Getting my drivers license changed my life because I got a taste of independence and exploration. I am able to take trips such as solo camping trips in which I have to prepare and take precautions. Getting my drivers license also makes me feel like I am ready to leave my parents and start my own life as a adult.
