    In 1492 Columbus sails to Hispaniola on an expedition financed by the Spanish. Believed this place was rich in gold. He landed here on the Santa Maria which was one of three ships that came along with it. His task was to find a route to asia and he believed he landed in India but he actually landed in the americas!

    Inspired by the conquest of the Aztecs, Francisco Pizarro set off to conquer the Incas and with just 169 soldiers he did. He broke the spirits of the Incan people by capturing Atahulapa the Incan emporer in the battle of Cajamarca

    Copernicus released his theory disproving hte previously thought geocentric theory being the Earth is the center of the universe when infact the Sun is the center of the universe. Galileo would later prove this theory even further.
