    Time in America

  • Work

    Work
After working some od-jobs around the city for about a month I finally found a job as a bus-boy in a small swedish restruant. It is familiar and reminds me of home.
  • The fight

    The fight
I just got promoted to waiter because one of ours left to head west. I was out treating my self at nearby bar when a gang of men entered the bar and insulted Sweden. Being drunk I took a swing at one of them. They dragged me out into the alley and beat me bloody. It had all come from my promotion. I guess that America has problems just like Sweden.
  • She's dead

    She's dead
My mother is dead. She choked on a peice of meat. With nobody around she sofocated. Now that i don't have to send money back home their is no reason for me to stay in Newyork where their is much prejudice against immigrants like me. Because of my mothers death i will now follow that other waiter and move west.
  • Wagon Trian

    Wagon Trian
I have just started my journey to the west. It took me about eight mounths to pack up every thing and get to the fronteir town of Saint Louis after my mother died. I spent all the money that I have saved to buy suppiles to make the journey to the west and start a new life their for my self. My mothers death has caused me to relize how bad the city is and that i need to get some land of my own.
  • Hard times

    Hard times
It was the middle of the night when the natives came. They killed the guard quietly and enetered our camp. They worked quickly and silently. The next mornig when i woke half the animals were gone. three wagon totally stripped bare, and a third of our people were missing or dead. I was one of the lucky ones. All they took from me was all my gold extra from buying the supplies. (Which was close to nothing) This has changed my thinking toward the west and made me realize how difficult it's in west.
  • Settled

    Settled
It was hard and i almost died multiple times but I have finally setteld in the west. It took me while to get some land but now I have my own little farm in Washington. I'm going to make it just like home in sweden. This has all come from the hard work that i have put in and even though it has been far harder in west then I ever thought it could It was all worth it.
