    In 1914 there was a drought of wheat and farmers had started to lose money because Canada's debt had started a little bit before WW1 and quickly escalated. In November 1915,The Imperial Munitions Board was established in Canada by the British Ministry of Munitions. Thankfully in 1916 Imperial Munitions Board was introduced and this allowed men and women to work from home.

    On the 3rd of February 1916 there was an event that occurred on parliament hill in ottawa. The event was horrific ,where a fire broke out on parliament hill in Ottawa. The fire was so bad that in the following morning there was only the famous library and a few walls of rumble left in the area.

The Borden’s Union government was desperate for the farmers’ to turn in their votes. Initially the votes started to compile up, but at the end, the recruitment ended in April 1918 in the face of resuming casualties overseas and recruitment at home.

    In 1919,There was a massive event that was named “Winnipeg General Strikes” this event was also called the largest strike in Canadian History. Between 15th May and 25th June a lot of workers quit their jobs because of this, there were over 30,000 people that quit their jobs. Every shops, factories, transit and city services shut down because of this major event. This event was horrific, it lead to arrests, injuries and two protesters to die.
