A Timeline of My Life

  • Birth, the Beginning

    On January 27, 2004 I was born at the hospital in Folsom, California. I was born an only child and cared for by mom and grandma. I was born into a family with Mexican Italian heritage and would eventually live in a multi-generational household. After that, I was raised by my great grandma and grandpa, my grandma, and mom. Being raised by women most of my life made me into the person I am today.

    Sensorimotor(Piaget)- basic sensory motor responses to stimuli
    5 MONTHS OLD- I was able to grab hold of what touched my hand. This is a grasping reflex which is a response to touch on the palm of the hand.
    1 YEAR OLD- Understood being tickled and responded with smiles and giggles
    2 YEARS OLD- I knew that when I would fall or trip that it would hurt. When I would get hurt it would result in crying

    I was only a few moths old and had a full rang of motion. In front of me are little objects that I can grab and move along a wire/track

    Concrete Operations(Piaget)- means the child is able to understand concept of conversation and work their way to master conversation.
    8 YEARS OLD- I started writing complex stories or sentences in class
    9 YEARS OLD- Learned relationships and classifications (Fish is to water as bird is to air)
    10 YEARS OLD- Wrote complex essays in class from extensive knowledge of language

    Identity v. Role Confusion(Erikson)- teenagers are trying to figure out who they are as a person.
    14 YEARS OLD- As I was entering high school I was one step closer to college and the most important part of my life
    16 YEARS OLD- I had an identity crisis and could live a care-free life, I had to create goals for myself.
    19 YEARS OLD- I will be starting college at University of Washington. As an undergraduate I will be working my way towards becoming a biotechnologist

    20-30

    Intimacy v. Isolation(Erikson) is about choosing if you'd want to live your life alone or with someone else.
    20 YEARS OLD- I would be single and not in a committed relationship since I would have to focus a lot of my attention towards school.
    24 YEARS OLD- As I have become acquainted with a career I will have hopefully met someone that I'd want to spend my time with.
    25 YEARS OLD- Even though I've lived the beginning of my life alone, it will be nice to start a life long journey with someone.

    By 2028 I hope to be in a healthy and stable relationship with someone who I want to spend a lot of my time with.

    Formal Operations(Piaget)- being able to understand abstract ideas and situations along with logical and deductive reasoning.
    30 YEARS OLD- After having children at I will need to move into a new home. I'll need to be able to negotiate what I think is a fair price for the home
    34 YEARS OLD- Since I've had the same car since college I will need to buy a new one that is both safe for me and my family
    35 YEARS OLD- As my kids turn 5 I'll need to find a school that is the perfect fit for them

    Universal Principles Orientation(Kohlberg)- people follow the principles of ethics regardless of the rules and laws
    44 YEARS OLD- Instead of choosing where my kid will go to high school for my sake, I'll let them choose where they want to go
    48 YEARS OLD- At least one of my kids will be going off to college that year and I'll support their every decision
    50 YEARS OLD- Any trouble my kid gets into, I'll be there to help them out. I won't let them fend for themselves since they'll be an adult

    Generativity v. Stagnation(Erikson)- Mid-life Crisis
    52 YEARS OLD- Will I have made the right choice with my career? Have I lived my best life so far or could I be happier?
    54 YEARS OLD- I have a stable job and a stable source of income for my family to be happy
    57 YEARS OLD- "When I retire, I'm going to live my best life and do everything I've ever wanted to do.
  • My Job as a Biotechnologist

    My Job as a Biotechnologist
    I find this as such an intricate and complex job. It requires a lot of time, work and dedication. While I might be away from my family, I'll be giving them the best life I can by supporting them

    63 YEARS OLD- I want to retire from my job as a biotechnologist
    67 YEARS OLD- I will have owned a house on the beach along with a boat that I take my out to the ocean with
    70 YEARS OLD- My cooking will be amazing, especially fish related dishes

    I want a simple boat that isn't too over the top but will serve it's purpose and get me to where I need to go.

    Ego Integrity v. Despair(Erikson)- Have I completed a full and happy life? Am I satisfied with what I've accomplished.
    72 YEARS OLD- "Have I've done everything I can to become the best person I can be? What more is there to do?"
    75 YEARS OLD- My kids will have given me grandchildren, which I see as the most fulfilling event in life
    79 YEARS OLD- "I've seen everything to make my life complete. I saw my kids grow up, get married, and have kids.

    Post-Conventional Reasoning(Kohlberg)- in regards to a person concerned whether a law is fair or unfair
    82 YEARS OLD- As my mind is clear and healthy, I don't believe that should be put into an assisted living facility unless needed to
    87 YEARS OLD- There is the possibility that I have Alzheimer's and need to be put in a memory care facility for my own safety
    90 YEARS OLD- As I had once been full of youth, my life has now come to an end. I'll be able to see those I haven't seen in a while
