The 1967 Arab-Israeli war was a result of Egyptian aggression, however the Israelis struck first. The Israelis were victorous. Israel took control of Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Gaza strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

Ehype and Syra launched a suprise attack on Israel in 1973 called the Yom Kippur War. This was on a Jewish holy day. This eventually ended in a stalemate, aka a cease fire.

This is the first time an Arab state has officially recognized Israel as an official state. The two reached an agreement known as the Camp David Accords in 1978.
