    Whe the Egyptians closed off thye Gulf of Aqaba to try and force UN troop to leave they also cut off Israel's route to the Red Sea. Israel expecting a large scale Arab attack Israel striked first. Israel launched air strikes against Syria Jordan, and Egypt destroying moat of their airplains on the ground. Israels troops began to move in taking out Arab forces fast and Israel took control of the Golan Hights, Sinai Peninsu;a, Gaza Strip, Weat Bank, and East Jeruaula.
  • Yom Kippur War

    Egypt and Syria were determined to win their territory back after the Six-Day War. So they launched a surprise attack against Israel on a Jewish holy day. Israel had support from the United States and pushed back the armies.

    Egypt wanted peace with Israel. To help make this happen US president made a meeting in Maryland. There Israel and Egypt came to an agreemant and ended 30 years of hostility.

    Palestines resentment of Israel boiled over into a rebellion called th intifada. Palestine youth attacked Israel causing wide spread street violence that didn't end until the early 1990's.

    The second infitada started in 2000 but this time around Palestine youth where joined by security forces with guns and suicide bombers that attacked civilians in Israel.
