Sadat and Begin reached an agreement. Egypt recognized Israel, and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. -
Intifalda
Palestinian resentment of Israel occupation turned into a rebellion. This included Widespread street violence. -
Second Intifalda
Relations between the Israeli and Palestinian soured and this led to the second Intifalda. More violence occurred.
