  • Israel is Formed

    Israel is Formed
    On May 14 of 1948 the Jew's partition for an indipendent state was passed and Israel is formed. While the Jewish celebrate the creation of Israel the Arabs aren't that happy with this occurrence. The Arabs' partiotion for therir own indipendent state hadn't been accepted and this soon led to tension between the Palestinian Arabs and Jews.
  • The Six Day War

    The Six Day War
    The Six Day War began with Israel striking attacks on Egyptian troops that had closed Israel's route to the Red Sea. Israel defeated all Arab forces which led to Israel's victory of this war. Along with victory Israel gained much of Egypt and Syria's territory including land with Palestinian population. This soon led to more conflict between Israelites and the Arabs.
  • The Yom Kippur War

    The Yom Kippur War
    A suprise attack was launched against Israel the day of Yom Kippur which is a Jewish holy day. The attack was made by Syrians and Egyptians in effort to gain their lost territory back. The Arabs were gaining much of their land back but as the U,S, began supporting Israel the tables were turned. By the end of the war everything was the same as it had been from the start.
  • Peace is Made

    Peace is Made
    The Egyptian president, Anwar Sadat, declared Egypt wanted to make a peace agreement with Isarel on Novemeber 5 of 1977. By 1978 peace was made between the Israelites and the Egyptians through the Camp David Accords. This agreement was created and signed by Sadat and the Israeli prime minister, Menachem Begin. The Camp David Accords showed Egypt's recognition of Israel and in return Egypt was given the Sinai Peninsula back.
  • The War Isn't Over

    The War Isn't Over
    Though peace was made and major conflict had ended between Israel and Egypt, Arab Palestinians continued to fight for their own indipendent nation. By 1987 riots were made by a group of Palestinias due to Israel's invasion of Lebanon after a group known as PLO had started attacks against Israel in Lebanon. SInce then agreements we're discussed to stop the violence but nothing has been done. To this day Palestinians continue living in violence.
