    Gupta Empire is Led by a Series of Weak Rulers
    In 467 to 500 CE, the Gupta Empire was led by a series of weak rulers. The great ruler Skandagupta was followed by weak rulers such as Purugupta, Kumaragupta II, Budhagupta, Narahasimgupta, and Kumaragupta III. These rulers led during a time of political insecurity. Also, these rulers weakened the economical and military strength of the empire. This led to the Huns invading and taking over the Gupta Empire.

    The final division of the empire took place after Theodosius's death in 395 CE when his sons divided the empire. They divided it into the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. This led to the fall of the Roman Empire because the poor western empire did not have a large enough army to defend itself. The western empire unable to defend its borders and was eventually overrun as the German tribes took the land and wealth of the empire. Rome was plundered by the Vandals and Visigoths.

    During the 480's, a group of Huns known as the Hephthalites destroyed Gupta defences and invaded the empire. The entire northwestern part of the empire was taken over by this group. The empire disinigrated even further after attacks by Toramana and Mihirakula. However, the Gupta fought back and drove the Hephthalites out of the empire. Later, another group of Huns invaded and ended the empire for good.

    After many battles between emperors and army generals, the Han Empire was split into three kingdoms. These kingdoms were constantly at war. They fough for land, power, and wealth. In 282, the Jin army conquered the other kingdoms. However, the fighting within the empire allowed foreign invaders to eventually conquer the Han Dynasty. The Three Kingdoms time period was one of the bloodiest in Chinese history.

    Christianity became the religion of the empire in about 395 CE. In 313, Constantine issued the Edict of Milan ending persecution of Christians and eventually converts himself. Theodusius makes Christianity the religion of Rome causing non-Christians to be persecuted. This lead to the undermining of the Emperor Cult because people no longer worshiped the Emperor as a god. This leads to a drop in the power the Emperor has. This will lead to the downfall of the empire.
