  • Research about Mosquito-Borne Illnesses and Citronella Plants

    During Genius Hour I plan to finish my research about mosquito-borne illnesses and citronella plants to further continue my project.

  • Find an orphanage in Zanzibar, Tanzania

    I want to find an orphanage in Zanzibar, Tanzania that I can plant Cymbopogon citratus seeds in.

  • Contact CHS Orphanage

    I am going to contact the CHS Orphanage to see if I can plant citronella or other citrus plants at their facility.

  • Contact the CLEO Institute

    I am going to contact the CLEO Institute which is an organization that focuses on preventing and working with the effects of climate change. I want to contact the institute to see if there is anyway that I can work with them on my project.

  • Contact Youth Programs Habitat for Humanity

    I am going to contact Habitat for Humanity to see if I can grow citronella or other citrus plants in places where they were building houses.

  • Contact Miami-Dade Green

    I am going to contact Miami-Dade Green to see if there is anyway that I can work with them on my project.

  • Work on the Online Template

    I plan to work on the Community Service Project Online Template. I will work on the Objective B section which talks about planning my project.

  • Work on the Community Service Project Presentation

    I plan to work on the Community Service Presentation. I want to finish the Criterion A and Criterion B slides.

  • Contacting Ms. Collins from the CLEO Institute

    I plan to contact Ms. Collins, the program manager of the CLEO Institute, about how I will be able to work with the CLEO Institute on my project.

  • Creating a Poster about Citro Life

    I plan to create a poster about Citro Life to raise awareness about my project. I will be using the website Canva to create the poster.

  • Meeting with Ms. Collins

    I will be having a meeting with Ms. Collins about my project and I will be pitching my project to her. If the pitch goes well I will be able to further develop my project with the institute.

  • Working on the Online Document

    I will be updating and finally finishing the online document for my community service project.

  • Working on the Community Service Project Presentation

    I will be finishing the presentation for my community service project.
