King/Queen get house arrest.
The King and Queen were trying to escape the revolutionist by fleeing to one of their neighboring countries (Austria) by cart & buggy. They were stopped at a checkpoint and one of the guards noticed it was the king and drew attention to the cart, which caused the "house arrest."
