  • Potty Trained

    According to my mother I was potty trained at a fairly young age, ecspecially for boys.
  • Soccer

    Started playing soccer and learned to become part of a team. Most of the people on the team I am still friends with today. It was a great experience for me and I made life long friends. Also my Dad was the assistant coach, it was a bonding experience for us.
  • Ride a Bike

    I was able to ride a bike with training wheels at this age.
  • Moving Day

    My parents and I moved from where we were living in my Grandmothers house to our own house. My parents were able to finally afford a place of their own and I got to experience my own "real" room.
  • Dog

    I had my first pet in July, her name was Missy and we adopted her from the Michigan Humane Society. She was a black lab and my best friend growing up. Looking back this taught me responsibilty and showed me how to care for others.
  • Big Brother

    I became a big brother this day when my brother, Randy, was born on this day. It changed my perspective from only caring about what I was going to do that day as a kid to what "we" were going to do that day.
  • Parents married

    My parents began to raise me without being married and continued to remain unmarried due to finacial reasons. My name was offically changed from my mothers maiden name to my fathers name. From Chad Nordstrom to Chad Hallam.
  • Moving Day

    My family and I moved to a new home across town, new friends in the neighborhood but in the same school.
  • Sister born

    My little sister, Alysssa, was born and thus me and my brother were to share a room. This was not something I wanted at the time but overall was a good experience.
  • Aunt and Unlce move in

    My Uncle and his girlfriend (my mother's brother and his soon to be wife) moved into our basement during time of financial hardship. They helped out with bills, did some chores, and babysat me to help out. They stayed for a year until they got their own place.
  • New House

    My parents built a new house and we moved in. My parents had bought vacant property and built brand new.
  • Florida

    This was not the first time on vacation, but this was the first time on vacation without my family. M friend and his family took me to florida with them to their time share in Orlando.
  • Driving permit

    Recieved my driving permit to be bale to drive with my parents.
  • Youngest sister born

    My youngest sister, Emmi, was born. Not exactly a planned child birth for my parents but is a blessing in itself.
  • First Job

    I started my first job which was at Target. My father knew someone who was in managment there and got me in at a young age. I worked in the electronics department at the Dearbon Heights location.
  • Graduated High School

    I graduated high school and began the rest of my life.
  • Second Job

    I moved from my job at Target to a resturant job. I started as a busboy at Antonio's Cucina Italia in Dearborn Heights. I moved from busboy to kitchen staff within 6 months. Then in the following 6 months I was one of 4 main cooks at the age of 19.
  • Started at Schoolcraft College

    I began taking entry level courses at Schoolcraft College, trying to pinpoint my interest into a field of work. I started into the biomedical tech field, taking the required classes to complete this program.
  • Time off: Schoolcraft College

    I began to job search for biomedical tech positions and came to realize there were no positions being offered anywhere in my area. I decided to take time off school, refocus where my life was being directed.
  • Love

    Meet the woman of my dreams and we began dating, everyday I am thankful for her.
  • American Red Cross Training

    I started a training course through the American Red Cross to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) to try and further my interest in healthcare
  • 3rd Job

    After 2 years at Antonios I moved to a hospital setting, more specifically Oakwood hospital. I worked as a Nursing tech/aide working on a general med/surg floor but was trained to float in times of low census.
  • Car accident

    I was in a car accident in which I was "T-boned" by someone who ran a red-light. Luckily everyone in the car, including myself, was uninjured in the car. Unfortunately the car was deemed totaled.
  • New Car

    I purchased my first car after my accident where I was "T-boned" in my last one. The car was purchased with money saved along with insurance money I recieved.
  • 21st Birthday

    My 21st birthday was one to remember, although I'm ot a big party person I did enjoy this day.
  • First House

    During my time waiting from school and working full time I purchased my first home. I bought a foreclosed home in Garden City with minimal work required to occupy. After a few weeks of repairs I was moved in and out of my parents!
  • Back to School

    Decided that the healthcare industry was a good choice for me and began to fill my entry level courses to enter the nursing program at Schoolcraft College. There was a 2 year waiting list at this point.
  • 4th Job

    I began a new job at the University of Michigan as a nursing tech/aide. I left Oakwood for a better opportunity and nothing else, I enjoyed my time at that job.
  • New Car

    I traded in my old car and purchased a new one. Nether this one nor the last was a lease, just ready for an upgrade. I had a small car but was ready for an SUV.
  • Started Nursing Program

    Did not have to wait as long as expected for th Nursing program entry. Finished my entry level classes and began to take courses in the actual program.
