    Louis calls the Estates-General
    This event was when king Louis calls the meeting between all 3 estates and each estate had 50 representitives. The issues at hand were the taxes and food scarcity and prices being discussed but the 1st and 2nd estate outvoted the third estate and "won".
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    This was a pivotal event in the early stages of the revolution where members of the third estate gathered in a tennis court that was actually a handball court after being locked out of the Estates-General. 576 members signed this document stating they were not leaving until a new constitution was put together by the king.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    This event was the flashpoint of the revolution. There was onyl 7 inmates at the time at this prison but the mobs came for the cities whole load of gunpowder after gaining hundreds of weapons and ammunition needed to sustain the movement.

    Declaration of Rights of Man
    It was a document passed by the National Assembly stating the basis for all equal men also creating a foundation for a set of laws. Inspired by the American Revolution and their Declaration it was a core statement of values for the French people.

    This event was on of the earliest yet most important events of the revolution. Thousands of angry women ransacked the city armory and besieged the royalty's palace rioting about the high price and scarcity of bread.

    This was another key event in the revolution. It involved the trial of former king Louis being accused of treason and then ended up being found guilty and dying by Guillotine.

    This event was a period of violence after the onset of the revolution. Its death toll ranged in the 10,000's with the two main political enemies the jacobins and the girodins. All these deaths were supported by claiming the deceased were "enemies of the revolution".
  • Death of Robespierre

    Death of Robespierre
    Maximillian de Robespierre had sent thousands of innocent french citizens to the guillotine just for opposing him or still having the slightest ideas of interest in a monarchical govenrment which he so dreadfully hated. When he came up with what would be his last list of suspected people plotting against him he included some of the wrong people like his friends in the national assembly and it led to the irony of him dying the way thousands did on his order, the guillotine.
