    I plan to graduate from highschool and wait a year to get my mind together than apply for OCCC. You'll need the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools. To be thorough and pay attention to detail. Problem-solving skills. The ability to work well with your hands. Customer service skills. The ability to work well with others. Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
  • Certifcate(Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

    In Oklahoma, you do not have to obtain a professional license to work as an auto mechanic. However, having an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is recommended as it demonstrates your competency and skills.

    Within this category are nine tests (A1-A9), each with between 40 and 50 multiple-choice questions.
    A1 – Engine Repair.
    A2 – Automatic Transmission/Transaxle.
    A3 – Manual Drivetrain & Axles.
    A4 – Suspension & Steering.
    A5 – Brakes.
    A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems.
    A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning.
    A8 – Engine Performance.
    Youd have to pass all the tests in order to get the ASE Certificate

    After all the years of hard work I have put into I finally have gotten my "dream" job, some other requirments I didnt mention are things like having a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, its typically required to enter an automotive training program.
