Life At Home
I live in a family of five with my mom, dad and two brothers. We all have a decent bond so there's no family trauma. Both my mom and older brother are doing accounting but I don't think that's really for me. I am more interested in a career that involves animals. For as long as I can remember, I've always had some sort of pet. This is where I think I get my passion for animals from. -
Volunteer Hours
I completed 41 hours of volunteer work at Bibles For Missions. Here, I had various tasks such as; sorting items, folding clothes, pricing items, stocking shelves and various other jobs that helped this business out. This taught me many useful skills that I can apply into my life. -
Resume
After volunteering, I felt confident enough to start applying myself to different workplaces I was interested in. This taught me responsibility and independence. -
Job Interview
After creating my resume and handing them out, I received some calls back. It was then that I had some interviews in my hands. I was interviewed at McDonald's, KFC and A&W. I received a second call back from McDonald's and decided that was the place I wanted to work at. -
Work Experience
I received my second call back from McDonald's and was told that I was hired. I then went to orientation and began my training. I've been working as a back team member for 7 months now. Here, I work cooking the meat and chicken products, making the food, cleaning and fries. -
High School Graduation
I am currently in second semester of grade 10. I will be in the graduating class of 2020. I'm not too sure what career I intend to pursue so I am choosing a wide variety of courses that interest me and seeing if anything clicks. My goal for graduation is to graduate with high marks in all my classes and to have chosen or have some sort of idea for my career. -
Career Planning
After graduation, I will need to move onto a post-secondary school. But, in order to make this choice, I should have an idea of what career I am wanting to do so that the college or university I choose will support it. As of today, I don't know what said career will be but, I am very passionate about animals so I am hoping that it will have to do with that. A veterinary career is out of the option though as I don't do well with blood and surgeries. -
Start Of Post-Secondary
Once I have decided on my future career, I will be able to persue it by applying for the post secondary options that will help me with said career -
Completion Of Post-Secondary
Depending on what I am choosing to persue, it will decide how many years I am to stay in schooling. After graduating, I will be able to move onto the career I am passionate about. -
Start Of Career
After finishing up my schooling, I will be ready to start my career. I’m not sure what said career is yet but I am hoping that it has something to do with animals. From here I will be able to gain a sustainable income that will help me throughout the future.
