Career Path Timeline

  • Start of high school

    I began my freshman year at Palmer taking all IB classes to better prepare myself for college and to ameliorate my chances at a scholarship.
  • Science Fair

    I competed and placed second in my division at the Regional Science Fair and then went on to particpate in the state competition.
  • American Medical Association Conference

    I was invited to present my science fair project at the American Medical Association Conference which I gained valuable connections from that could help me on my road to becoming a phycisian.
  • Completing freshman year with straight A's

    I finished the year with a 5.0 gpa which imporves my chances of getting into the colleges that I am considering.
  • PLAN

    I took the practice ACT to prepare myself for the upcoming test.
  • South Africa Mission Trip

    I participated in a South African mission trip which gave me experience in the feild that I want to go in and also increases my college opportunities.
  • Science fair

    I will complete in science fair again which looks good on applications.
  • International Science Fair

    I will compete in the International Science Fair which looks really good on applications and will significantly better my chances of college acceptance.
  • End of sophmore year with straight A's

    I will continue to achieve straight A's in the IB program.
  • Junior year classes

    I will take higher level biology, pyschology, and english along with standard level french and math with anatomy and physiology which will adequetly prepare me for medical school.
  • Apply for scholarships

    I will apply for the highest scholarships the the schools I am looking at offer.
  • PSAT

    I took the PSAT test to improve my score for the actual test.
  • Second South Africa trip

  • College visits

    I will visit University of Pennslyvania, Cornell, Columbia, UCLA and Georgetown.
  • SAT/ACT

    I will achieve high marks on both the SAT and the ACT in order to get into a good college.
  • Begin volunteering at Memorial Hospital

    I will participate in the volunteer program at the local hopsital to increase the amount of hands on work I have done in the feild I plan on going in to.
  • Apply for college

    I will finish high school near the top of my class and I will maintain straight A's all four years.
  • Start of college

    I will begin school at either University of Pennslyvannia, Columbia, UCLA or Cornell. I will be taking classes that follow the pre-medical requierments specific to the school but generally these classes are mainly biology and chemistry based.
  • Visit John Hopkins University

    I will begin visits schools that I am considering for medical school.
  • Take the mcat test to apply for medical school

    I will achieve a very high score on the mcat test in order to get in John Hopkins.
  • Sending in medical school applications

  • Graduate at the top of my class

    I will graduate from my under-graduate program at the top of my class to imporve the likeliness of my acceptance to John Hopkins.
  • Begin at John Hopkins Medical school

  • Take first test of the USMLE exams

    I will take the first test of the US Medical Liscening Exams.
  • Take third portion of USMLE

    This thrid examination will liscence me as a medical physician.
  • Take second portion of USMLE

  • Begin my 2year residency at the hospital of my choice

  • Apply for Doctors Without Borders

  • Complete interview with Doctors Without Borders

  • Begin Doctors Without Borders training

  • Begin first tour with Doctors Without Borders
