Career: Nurse Anesthetist

Graduate High School

This is the approximate date that I would graduate high school. I hope to finish within the top 3 in my class. I would also hope to know where I would attend college and have a good base money wise from working in the summer.

First Day of College

I'm not quite sure where I want to go to college but I do know that I don't want to go super far away. I would consider the University of Nebraska, Unitversity of Mary, and SDSU.

Graduate from College

This is the approximate date that I would hope to graduate from college. I hope to be a registered nurse by this time with my bachelor's in nursing and to graduate with honors. I would also hope to have a job lined up by then.

Nurse Anesthesia Program

I hope to be accepted into a graduate anestheia program by this time. I hope it is somewhere around this area of the country. I also hope to work as a registered nurse for a year before this time.

Pass National Certification Exam

May 22, 2024

I hope to pass the exam to become a nurse anesthetist at this time. This would mean that I completed the two year graduate program as well.

First Day of Work

At my first day of work, I would hope to either be working in a private clinic or perhaps a hospital. I would hope that my starting salary is around $120,000. I would hope to stay around this area possibly or more north towards my family.

Promotion

By this time I would hope to be promoted in some way. I think that it would cool to eventually work my way up to the head nurse anesthetist.

Retirement

I hope that I retire sometime around this day. I would kind of like to have the option to retire before this time but love my job so much that I don't want to retire. I think with the amount of money I would make that there would be a good chance that I could retire before this day.
