I buy a house with my spouse (hey that rhymes), and we both don't like the kitchen / living room layout. We decide to use the money we put into a savings account to remodel the main floor of the house so it's more open. Until it is done, we stay in a hotel for about a month.

At age 65, I will retire from my job with a large savings account and now have the freedom to take up hobbies like calligraphy, writing, hiking, and use the smaller house more often.
