Started Kindergarden
By the time I started school, my younger brother was 3 years old. My parents would teach me to read and write short words. They did not have many expectations for me. My youngest sister had just been born. -
I was baptized in my church
Church was always important to my family. I was encouraged to get baptized, but it was my choice. This was important in my life because it meant that I was expected to know how to choose between right and wrong. -
9/11 Terrorist Attack
I remember I was getting ready for school in the morning when it happened. I did not really understand it, but my mother kept my home from school. -
Moved to Mesa, AZ
When I was 11, my family moved to Mesa. It was only about 3 miles away, but it was a significant low point in my life. It was difficult for me to adjust. -
Graduated High School
I graduated from high school and was getting ready to go to ASU. -
Left home for the first time - served a church mission in NC
I went to North Carolina to serve a 2 year church mission. My parents always expected that I would go on a mission, but they did not have to coerce me. I was excited to be on my own and have the experience. I had fun and learned a lot. It was a high point in my life. -
Married Breanna
This was obviously a very exciting day for me and marks the beginning of the current chapter in my life.
