    Horses
Every summer for my brother's birthday we would go to our family farm in West Virginia to ride horses, fish with Granddad and play with our counsins catching fire flies and jumping hay bails. Those summer days are when I learned to ride horses. Learning to ride horses provided an opportunity to learn trust and fear. This is representative of my fourth stage, where I learned a sense of industry ad confidence in new abilities, especially when I was able to ride without my parents leading.
  • Suessical

    Suessical
The opening show for Suessical the Musical. My brothers and I each played a part in the all school play. I was Thing 1, Scott was JoJo and Reid was a chorus part. During adolesence, I was able to engage in lots of different activities as I began to learn about my myself and my identity. Acting helped me try on different voices as I began to develop my own with more confidence.
  • First Love

    First Love
Josh was my first love and first real relationship. We began dating when I was 19 and he was 18. We were together for four years before our paths took us different directions. This is representative of the sixth stage where I learned the foundations of a committed and long term relationship, though now five years later, though we are still friends, we have found other partners to share a deeper commitment with. This stage is filled with learning relationships and vulnerability.
  • Retirement

Today I turn 60. Looking back I hope to see a long life of hard work, a growth in family, and something valuable that I have produced with a sence of legacy. The eighth stage is filled with looking at personal experience and if there are any resentments or regrets. I hope to live a life of grace, learning, loving well, and adventure!
