Autobiography

  • Birth

    Birth
My birth was at seven o'clock sharp on April 6th 1997. My parents hired a midwife and I was born in the back bedroom of my grandparents house. I was told that I did not cry, but instead just curiously looked around at everything within view.

  • Parents Split Up

    Parents Split Up
When I was four years old my parents split up, and I lived mostly with my mother. This was significant because it was one of the first memories I have of my parents together. Because of this, I never pictured my parents together, nor did I see myself in one large family, but this made me grow up in two separate families, and it was for the best.
  • Brother Was Born

    Brother Was Born
My mother and her new boyfriend had my half brother on May 3rd 2006, when I was six years old. I remember waiting with my grandmother at home while my mom was in labor. They came home late that night and I got to hold him for the first time and was very dissapointed when I didn't "feel" any different as a big sister than I did as an only child.
  • Mom Married Stepfather

    Mom Married Stepfather
My mother married my stepfather when I was six years old. This was when my stepfather began showing his "true" colours an my mother was legally tied to him. His true self would cause complications later in life.
  • Sister Was Born

    Sister Was Born
My sister was born on June 17th 2004. She plays a big role in my life and I am thankful for the day she was born because she and I are very close.
  • Lived With My Dad

    Lived With My Dad
When I was seven, my mother, brother and sister had to move to Tennessee to gain custody of my brother and sister in her divorce against my stepfather. I stayed with my dad and grandparents here in Sedona Arizona where I have been ever since. This was important because I did not do well in school when I lived with my mother, and I honestly don't know where I'd be had this event never occured.
  • First Dog

    First Dog
When I was eight yesrs old, I got my first dog, who we named Sheila. Sheila furthered my experience in taking responsibility for others. She meant a lot to my family and was easily accepted as part of it.
  • Mom Came Back

    Mom Came Back
My mother moved back to be closer to me when I was twelve. This lead to me doing badly in school and I lost all progress I had made. I became much closer to my sister and I don't think I would have had the relationship I not have with her had this not happened.
  • Sheila Passed Away

    Sheila Passed Away
Sheila died one morning in September due to a seizure, I was pretty torn up about it since it was the first time I lost someone I cared about. However, this experience showed me that bad things happen sometimes, just as good things do, and I would have to accept that death is a part of life.
  • Mom Left Again

    Mom Left Again
This significant event lead me to where I am today. When my mom left, I fell into a bad crowd and ran into legal issues. I felt very depressed, and this gave me the motivation I needed to continue my life and believe that I could, one day, have a decent future.
