On this day, my parents Shannon and William, were delivered their most beloved and favorite daughter, Makenna Marie, at 7:30 pm in a hospital in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

This marks my very first day of school at Brimfield Local Schools as a kindergarten student. Needless to say, my mother cried.

In September 1999, I was in third grade in a PreK-4th grade school, which participated in a reading buddy program pairing up an older student with a younger student. Luckily for me, I was paired with Cassie, who is still my best friend today.

The lavender jumpsuit complete with plastic waist-cinching buckle that my dad picked out for me when I first joined Ski + Snowboard Club at Lakeview Intermediate School was so horrifying that I never allowed anyone to take a picture of me in it.

During my junior year, my dad let me pick one friend to take with me on a 4-day trip to Florida, so the obvious choice was my reading buddy Cassie and a trip to Disney World!
