1948 War

The outcome was that Israel captured the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the Gaza Strip from all of the Sinai peninsula from Egypt. More Palestinians and Jews became refugees and terrorism became more common. -

The Attrition Battles were launched by Egypt and meant for Israel. The outcome was that Israeli forces destroyed the Egyptian air defenses. -
Yom Kippur War
Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on a Jewish holiday. The outcome was that Israel retained territories captured but didn't keep additional land. -
The Camp David Summit
This was the first attempt to negotiate a final status agreement between Israel and Palestine. This attempt / goal was not achieved and it only led to further conflict. -
Egypt and Israel sign a Peace Agreement
Egypt was the first country to present Israel the peace treaty. The outcome was that Israel gave Egypt all the sinai during the War. -
1982 Lebanon War
Israel attacked Lebanon and Lebanon attacked Israel back. The outcome was that Israel stopped attacking Lebanon and more terrorist attacks led to the next Lebanon War. -

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank went against Israeli control. The outcome was that many lives were lost and people thought the Israeli response was harsh. -

Jordan was the second country to recognize Israel with the help of the Unitd States. After the treaty was signed, trade, tourism , scientific coopertion, etc. increased since the agreement. -

Israel built a barrier that separated the citizens from terrorist groups in the West Bank. The outcome was that people thought the barrier could be removed to show peace. -

The Roadmap was divided into into 3 phases but it was never able to get past the first phase. The outcome was the negotiations between Israel and Palestine became possible when the President of Palestine got rid of the government controlled by Hamas. -
Israel disengages from Gaza
The Prime Minister moved ahead with the separation of Israel from Palestinian territories. The people of Israel did not want to leave the Gaza Strip but the Prime Minister went ahead with his plan anyways. -
Hamas is elected
Palestinians elected many of the Hamas members to the PAL (Palestinian Authorities Legislature) over the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization). This group was responsible for many terrorist attacks, killing Jews, and did not accept any agreements. -
