-
I was born on April 1st, 2007, at 3:09 pm in a hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.
-
While my mom was decorating the Christmas tree, I suddenly took my first steps towards her.
-
During one of my softball tournaments, I ended up hitting my first out-of-the-park homerun at age 10.
-
I graduated from elementary school with a huge class ceremony in our school gym.
-
In October 2020, I suddenly became ill, and after many months I found out that I have a rare stomach condition that only 0.1 to 0.3% of the US population has.
-
In early September of 2021, I was filled with joy to find out that my rare condition was finally in remission by my doctor!
-
On October 5th, 2023, I unfortunately found out that my condition had relapsed, and would have to begin treatment all over again.
-
In May of 2025, I expect to graduate from Blue Valley Southwest High School and celebrate with my family and friends!
-
In early September, I expect to go to college and study what I have a passion for the most, which is helping children, just like me, navigate through an illness.
-
I plan on getting married before officially becoming a child psychologist or child life specialist.
-
I plan on starting a family sometime after finding my dream job and settling in.
-
After receiving my undergraduate degree, master's degree, doctorate, and fellowship, I plan on working at a children's hospital to pursue my career.
-
In the future, to continue to pursue my dreams of helping children, I see myself opening my own pediatric psychology clinic.
-
If I were never to become sick during my childhood, my career choice would have changed to become an orthodonist.
-
In the future, after continuing to work towards my goals in my career field, I would plan to eventually retire.
