Grade 8 Graduation
Grade 8 graduation was a great moment for me, knowing that I have passed elementary school and can move on to Highschool. Graduation really opened my eyes on the fact that I am getting older, which may sound ridiculous but it is true. I'll be going to highschool, then four years later I should be going to university. That's scary, knowing that I will be living on my own very soon. Overall grade 8 graduation was an eye-opener for me. -
Citizenship Award
This award made me think of myself differently. I wasn't expecting to receive any awards in grade 8 since I am not one of the top academic students, but I did receive citizenship. I think this award is important and really demonstrates what kind of person I am, -
Volunteering at Bibles for Missions
All summer I spent my time twice a week at the thrift store Bibles for Missions. I think that is a important time period over the last year since I dedicated a lot of my time there. -
Start of Highschool
This was a very big time event for me and a lot of people since you only experience this once in your lifetime. It was very scary at first, but I had Kristen with me on the first day since we drove together. It was a good day and I'm glad I wasn't shy because I made new friends the first day. -
Resume Created
On this day I have created a resume in business class so maybe I could apply for a summertime job. I think this will help me in the future since I will be needing a job throughout the summer because of the school trip that is going to England and Paris. -
Sister's Graduation
On my sister's graduation I was very proud of her ebcause school is not her thing and this time she finished it. She gives me motivation to continue in school so I can fulfill my dreams by having a well paid job. She is very happy on her success in college and she is looking forward to support me on my graduations as well. -
Honours Plaque
I got the honour role for grade nine and that was a very sinifigant award for me since I worked really hard for it. I hope I will get honours award again for grade 10 and even through out the rest of highschool. -
First Show Case Tournament
My first showcase soccer tournament was a really great achievement for me since this is only the start of them. Even though we didn't do as well as we hoped we are now prepared for the next one to kick butt. I think this will help me in the future too since this can give me an oppurtunity for an university scholarship. -
June First Job
By now I want to have applied at my first job which I will be working at during the summer. I want a job that I can do throughout the day and through out the week. I like being engaged with people and children so I think a summer camp would be a great place to work. If that doesn't work out I would like to do some landscaping because I like the labour work. -
July Travelling
Travelling each weekend to a new soccer tournament is almost like having a mini vacation with your family and friends. When I am older I will always look back to these memories, and I can share them with friends and maybe future family. -
Florida Showcase
For another showcase tournament my team is planning on going to florida to a show case tournament. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to be noticed by University coaches. Hopefully I will be offered a scholarship or be offered to attend a Univeristy camp. A lot of coaches and teams attend this tournament and I think will have a big impact on me and bring a lot of memories. -
England and Paris
The school trip in grade 11 for me is to Enlgand and Paris. I am wanting to go on the trip but I need to pay for it myself. I am hoping I am able to go on this trip since I will be working all summer to get enough money, I cannot work throughout the school year because I am too busy with extracurriculars and activities outside of school. This will be great fun and I could create life long memories, and new experiences since I have never travelled on a plane or to Europe. -
Move out of your guardians house
By this time I want to be moved out of the house and getting ready for post secondary school. I am not one of those people who will take a year off of school. I think this is a good time to start moving out because then I can be settled in for the summer and get comftorable with my new environment. -
University begins
Hopefully I will now be starting univeristy to major in sports science. I want to begin university by now because I want to get right back into school, I am not going to take ayear off. I want to get university done vey quickly,but efficiently, so I can start a job from that major.
