Starting my dance career
Dance is one of the biggest influences in my life and it has made me the person I am today. This is a picture of me at one of my recitals as a child. -
Washington, IL Tornado
The Washington, IL F-4 Tornado took my home when I was 13 years old while my whole family was home. It taught me how important family is and that personal belongings are replaceable but family comes first. -
Making High School Dance Team
Pantherettes was a very important event in my life! It really showed me that my passion is dance. It gave me my best friends throughout high school and taught me many life lessons. -
Making High School Cheer
My sophomore year, I decided that I wanted to try a new sport, something other than dance, so I tried out for cheerleading and made the team which I continued for the next 3 years! I learned things out of my comfort zone and taught me that change can be a good thing! -
Winning my first solo competition
My junior year I competed as a soloist in my high school competitions in hope that I would qualify for state. My very first competition I won first place and qualified on the first try which was never done at my school as a junior or senior. To this day it is one of my greatest accomplishments. -
Getting in a car accident
My senior year on my way to school, I got into a collision with my two sisters in the car which caused my car to be totaled. This was a big wakeup call for my family. It made my sisters and I much closer and we all escaped with minor injuries. -
Making Illinois State's Dance Team
I have met my life long friendships while being on this team. Redline has given me many opportunities that I would have not been able to achieve without it. It has also taught me how to be professional in a different setting. -
Graduating High School
Graduating High School was a huge step in becoming an adult. I believe it made me realize that I can do anything I want in my life and that everything is truly up to me. -
Going to Nationals
My senior year of high school, I had the experience to go to dance nationals in Pigeon Forge, TN with my studio dance team. We received third place with our group routine and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I will never forget. -
Getting my first puppy
I decided when I graduated that I wanted to take on the responsibility of owning my first puppy and even though the summer of 18' was challenging, I would never take him for granted. He has helped me emotionally through so many events in my life. -
Starting College at Illinois State University
This is the first time in my life where I truly experienced freedom. At first I did struggle with my priorities but I was quick to figure out school comes absolutely first and ever since then I have been thriving.
