I was born on August 13, 1860 in Patterson Township, Darke County, Ohio. -
Father passed away
In 1866 my father passed away due to pneumonia and overexposure to freezing weather. -
Sent Away
After my father died my mother could not take care of me by herself so she sent me away to live with my uncle. -
Shooting for food and money
After i returned home from being sent away i took my dads rifle and in the woods shot game. I would then go and sell them for money to a Greenville Shopkeeper. Doing this I was able to pay my mothers morgage on her house. -
Married
I married the love of my life Frank E. Butler on August 23 1876. -
"Little Sure Shot"
American warrior sitting bull attended one of my shows. He was so impressed that he offered me $65 for a photo. Later he adopted me and nicknamed me "little Sure Shot' -
Joined Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show
I along with Frank E. Butler joined the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show which was run by Buffalo Bill Cody. -
Train Wreck
I was in a horrible train wreck that left me with a spinal injury. 5 operations were needed. This train wreck left me partially paralyzed for awhile. -
Shooting was better than ever!
By 1902 I was able to shoot a dime that was tossed in midair 90 feet away. Also with a .22 rifle she could shoot 4,472 out of 5,000 glass balls tossed in the air. -
Still setting records at 66 years old
At a contest in Pinehurst, N.C. I shot 100 clay targets from the 16 yard mark. -
Annie paassed away
Annie died of pernicious anemia at the age of 66.
