    I was born on August 13, 1860 in Patterson Township, Darke County, Ohio.

    In 1866 my father passed away due to pneumonia and overexposure to freezing weather.

    After my father died my mother could not take care of me by herself so she sent me away to live with my uncle.

    After i returned home from being sent away i took my dads rifle and in the woods shot game. I would then go and sell them for money to a Greenville Shopkeeper. Doing this I was able to pay my mothers morgage on her house.

    I was in a horrible train wreck that left me with a spinal injury. 5 operations were needed. This train wreck left me partially paralyzed for awhile.

    By 1902 I was able to shoot a dime that was tossed in midair 90 feet away. Also with a .22 rifle she could shoot 4,472 out of 5,000 glass balls tossed in the air.

    At a contest in Pinehurst, N.C. I shot 100 clay targets from the 16 yard mark.
  • Annie paassed away

    Annie died of pernicious anemia at the age of 66.
