Divided French Society/ Financial Troubles
They had 3 estates, the first one was the clergy, that was the nuns, monks and priests. The second estate was the nobility was made up of knights and the last estate was the rest of the population. The financal trouble they were having were because of the government spending more money than they had. -

All man are named all equal. They think the reason that the rights of man were ignored was because the government was bad, and now they have their own rights and everyine is considered equal. -
Louis XVI Calls the Estates-General
Louis XVI called all the estates to a national assembly, which caused the outbreak of the revoultion. -
Parisians storm the Bastille
This happened because of the revolution and the raising of taxes and unfairness that the king was being, so out of spite they went after the bastille where the king was staying. -
Threats from abroad
The people declared a declaration that made louis xvi as their own and that his rules and everything were bad. and they promised an invasion on france on his behalf. -
Civil War (radicals take over)
they went against conservatives and demanded reconstruction to the government and didnt fight in the war. -

the monarchy was abolished and that started the first republic, that happened after king louis was stripped of his power, and the king and queen were both sentenced to death by the guillotene -

Robespierre basically was killing a bunch of people with the guillotene, for rumors about them that went against the revoultion or something he didnt like -
Third stage of the revolution
Louis XVI got placed on trial for betraying the country, he was found guilty and was beheaded and theat monarchy was stopped -

after democracy was put into the government, they had the idea of capitalism and then nationalism was created the greatest type is facism.
