A day that reminds me I'm not getting any younger... It isn't that y birthday is that bad of a day, but this year it was rough. My kids weren't home and it was a little lonely.

Broke the only bone I've ever broken..Shattered it, actually. SUrgery to repair my collarbone came the following Thursday. 1 plate and 6 screws later, I am back together again.

Although I was unable to do her party as planned due to my surgery, we had a great day celebrating with just the fam.

First big purchase since being divorced and all on my own. I've not had a car loan in just my name since I was 18 years old. Feels good!

Always a hard day for me. My mom passed the day after MOther's Day 6 years ago. And every few years the anniversary of that and Mother's Day fall on the same day. In any event, as much as I enjoy being a mom and I love my babies, I do not enjoy this day. It's still hard...

While summer is great and I love the time off to recharge, it signifies a tough time ahead. Being a single mom on a teacher salary means finding lots of ways to entertain kids for really cheap...and it's a constant struggle!

Aerosmith's final US stop on tour. Canton, Ohio. Seats weren't great, but concert was AMAZING! Followed up with time spent with boyfriend's family in Geneva, Ohio. Great way to end the summer!
