I found my first hobby
I played the piano for the first time. My mom had a feeling that this was my calling. -
The day I was adopted.
I was officially adopted into the Shumate family on this date. -
I moved on to a completely different hobby.
I continued to play the piano. However, I had another hobby in mind which was gymnastics. I was very uncoordinated so my mother took me to Star Bound. I actually enjoyed it and stuck with it for 7 years. -
The start of my hockey obsession
I was in 3rd grade when I fell in love with hockey. I followed my father's and brother's footsteps and played ice hockey. It turned out to be a failure. I was too little compared to those big boys. -
Another hobby..
It was right before I went into 8th grade that I decided to give up piano and move on. I thought that playing an instrument made me look like a "geek". My new hobby ended up being cheerleading. I cheerleaded at Star Bound for 2 years. -
back to my obsession with hockey
It was the end of my freshman year when the field hockey coach approached me. I was playing floor hockey in gym and she saw that I had potential. I had never played field hockey in my entire life, but my love for it developed quickly. -

Graduate from Cumberland Regional High School. -
College
Start my freshman year of college. -
Finish College
Graduate from York College of Pennsylvania with a masters degree in computer information systems. Find a job at the FAA.
