Dad was born

My dad was born.

Dad joined the NAVY

My father joined the NAVY and was in the control tower talking to the ships out at sea.

Plasma

The color plasma was invented in 1992, and in 1997 they were finally introduced to the consumer market by Fujitsu, followed shortly thereafter by Philips and Pioneer.They didn't become common until about 2006 when prices began dropping and larger sizes became available.

Dad quit the NAVY

At this time my dad qiut the NAVY to pursue a career in I.T.

Dad bought his first PC

My father bought his first computer/laptop at this time to help him with his career away from home.

Dad started his I.T. career with the defence

My dad started working on an I.T carrer with the defence force working on computers and doing data.

Canberra bushfires hit suburbs

After burning for a week around the edges of the ACT, the fires entered the suburbs of Canberra on 18 January 2003. Over the next ten hours, four people died and more than 500 homes were destroyed or severely damaged, requiring a significant relief and reconstruction effort.

This was when i got my first computer it was not a very good one because it couldn't hold the internet.

First phone

My first phone was nothing spectacular it didn't have bluetooth or a camera like some of the new ones do these days.

We got Foxtel in 2007 and got rid of it late 2008

Kevin Rudd was elected prime minister

He was the 26th Prime Minister of Australia (2007–2010) and is currently the Minister for Foreign Affairs. He has been an Australian Labor Party member of the House of Representatives since the 1998 federal election, representing Griffith, Queensland.
